5 Simple Cocktail Recipes
Orange & Basil Mimosa
An easy refreshing drink made with chilled Champagne or Prosecco. Make sure to chill your Prosecco well. You can also chill the champagne flute before serving - just pop in some ice into the glass and then discard. Sometimes it’s nice to keep the ice in and pour prosecco over it. Then add 30/40ml of the orange & basil mixer.
Add 50ml tequila, 25ml lime juice, 20ml cointreau and 40ml rhubarb syrup into the cocktail shaker - shake with lots of ice and strain. Rub a wedge of lime on the glass rim and dip into salt before serving.
Little tip - if you don’t have a cocktail shaker and strainer, just use any type or flask and a sieve!
Fill a glass with ice. A tall glass is best suited for this drink. Add 50ml gin, 40ml of raspberry & thyme cocktail mixer, 20ml lime or lemon juice and top with soda water. You can also lemonade instead of the lime juice and soda water combo. Stir and enjoy!
Raspberry & Thyme Cosmopolitan:
Add 50ml vodka, 15ml cointreau, 30ml raspberry & thyme mixer and 10ml lime juice into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well for a minute or so and strain into a martini glass. I love this cocktail when it’s really really cold, so I shake it until the shaker starts to freeze over on the outside!
Rhubarb Gin & Tonic
Take your regular gin and tonic to the next level! A good auld gin and tonic has been made a staple in any home bar in the last few years. If you are tired of the same flavour, elevate your drink by adding 40ml of Dacha rhubarb mixer. You don’t know what you are missing until you try it! The sweetness and tartness of rhubarb goes so well with the botanicals in gin, it’s an explosion of flavour in your mouth and the cocktail is so refreshing.
